Assessment of Public Knowledge, Values and Attitudes toward Biodiversity and Sustainable Forestry is a review of the available literature on human dimensions of biodiversity and related topics, such as forest values and management, wildlife and their management, and fire and its management. Members of the Human Dimensions of Natural Resources Department at Colorado State University conducted this project with funding from the National Commission on Science for Sustainable Forestry (NCSSF Website). The NCSSF is currently carrying out a five year program aimed at advancing the sciences of sustainable forestry and biodiversity conservation. This portion of the program was developed because of the NCSSF?s concern that they did not have sufficient information concerning the American public?s view of biodiversity as compared to other forest benefits such as water quality, carbon sequestration, and recreation.
